Erin Yates-Physician Assistant

Erin Yates, PA-C, is a Louisiana native who obtained her undergraduate degree in Toxicology/Chemistry from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  She obtained her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Medical Branch in 2005.  After graduation, she was awarded the AASLD NP/PA fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 2006 and then joined Liver Specialist of Texas from 2007 to 2009.  During her first tenure with Liver Specilists of Texas, Erin was responsible for the coordination of care for those patients with hepatitis C, and the treatment they received. She was also a sub-investigator on all of the hepatitis C research protocols.

Departing Liver Specialists of Texas in 2009, Erin joined the staff at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She was deeply involved with the clinical organiation of patient care at UTMB, and the expansion of regional liver clinics.

After 4 years at the Texas Transplant Center at UTMB, working as a transplant coordinator and liver transplant program manager, she  rejoins us at Liver Specialist of Texas.  Erin's expertise includes management of hepatitis C and other chronic liver diseases, as well as liver transplant patient care. Erin Yates is the most experienced Physician Assistant in Houston with regard to outpatient care, clinical research, and the management of patients with hepatitis C.
