Dee Wade: Practice Manager
Dee is originally from the Northeast. She was born in New York, and lived primarily in Connecticut until she was 16. She moved with her family to Houston and has called Texas her home ever since. Between her and her husband they have 5 grown children and 14 grandchildren, all of which are spread out across the country.
Dee is currently working on her Master’s Degree in health administration, and is planning a celebration for when she finishes in June of 2014. She has been involved in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, so pursuing her Master’s in health administration was a logical choice for her. She has worked for a variety of specialties. She began her career in the Texas Medical Center working for an eye surgeon. She has worked in neurology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, ENT, family/general practice, dermatology and now hepatology. She joined the team at Liver Specialists of Texas in 2010 after a period of time living outside of Texas. During this time, she realized how much she missed our great state and the level of care that is unique to The Texas Medical Center.
As Practice Manager for Liver Specialists of Texas, she oversees all of the day to day operations of the practice, including human resource and staffing, customer service, clinical care and research protocols, strategic planning, as well as billing and collection.
When Dee isn’t working or doing school work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book or experiencing new things. She loves to travel, especially taking road trips and hopes to one day visit Italy.
