Few patients complain of diarrhea. If present, it tends to be seen early in therapy.
Initial recommendations include increasing dietary fiber, with over the counter fiber supplements such as Metamucil or Citrucel twice daily. You can also try Kayopectate as directed. If diarrhea persists, or is associated with blood, fever, or abdominal pain, call the office immediately.
